I got Augie this huge rubber bone for Christmas. I mean, it's really big. Every time
someone comes over, he flings the bone in their lap. It has become a ritual for attention. I'm on the phone, the bone is dropped. I'm in the kitchen, the bone is dropped. Get the picture. This dog can't get enough Tug of War! (see last week's story below) |

 | Augie has a few girlfriends, but Sadie is his favorite! It helps that she lives next door and that they get a lot of opportunities to play together. I caught them playing Augie's favorite game, Tug of War. I believe Augie won this round, or did Sadie just let him win? |

| I was walking Augie the other day and he noticed a cat with two green eyes. Unfortunately it wasn't a real cat, but an iron-cast kittie posted in one of our neighbors' gardens for decoration. Poor Augie just saw the twinkling eyes of the cat and immediately jerked my arm out of its socket to chase it. He was pretty embarrassed after he realized the cat wasn't real. | |

 | Sometimes when I'm on the phone and Augie wants attention, he tries to catch his tail. He spins and spins and eventually catches it, then he repeats the game again. It's even become a parlor trick with friends and family cause all you have to say is, "Augie, go catch your tail!" |
